The tragic death by friendly fire was covered up at first, but there is even more than that to the story of this complex man who questioned everything…he is far more fascinating than he has been portrayed – a patriot but not a blind patriot. He believed in his country and his countrymen, but he did not blindly believe anything and everything the government tried to shove down our throats, including, it seems, the legitimacy of the Iraq war.
